Halloween is coming and there is no way I am going to be able to forbid them to go collect a garbage bag full of candy. \n<\/span>The taste buds of those kids learn to love sugar and won\u2019t like the taste of nutritious healthy veggies. Addiction to sugar starts at a very young age resulting in a <\/span>fifth of 4-to-5-year-olds and a third of 10-to-11-year-olds are overweight or obese<\/span>. Overweight children are more likely to become overweight adults making them more prone to a range of serious health problems, such as\u00a0<\/span>heart disease<\/span><\/a>, some\u00a0<\/span>cancers<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Type 2 diabetes<\/span><\/a>. There are now 2.5 million people suffering from Type 2 diabetes, 90% of whom are overweight or obese.<\/span><\/p>\n
